Hi,
I am trying to pursuade DH to have a lunch of salad and soup in office. He has agreed to give it a try. Can some kiasu wifes here tell me the best way to make a palatable lunch out of these dishes? Should I give him cans of soups to prepare in office, or should I make the real soup at home and ask him to carry to office? What are suitable salads with the right dressings and toppings so that he can have a nice yet healthy lunch? Many thanks, Karen

I'm curious to know why you persuaded him to have soup and salad during his lunch time? That means he can't eat out with his colleagues :?

Just eat at Soup Spoon or Subway (vegetable sandwich, no cheese no meat).

Firstly, I dun think doing so reflects well on your husband in office.

Secondly, I dun think canned soups are to be consumed frequently- too much sodium and whatever stabilisers that go into the canned soup.

There are thermos flasks that come in various sizes that can keep home made hot soup warm for a few hours.

If it's not everyday think it is fine. DH packs lunch to his office as he finds it a hassle to fight the crowds during lunch time. Many of his colleagues do that.

If his office pantry has a microwave, just put the soup in a microwave safe container and he can heat it up before consuming.
