My mom swears by Deep Heat cream Extra Strength for every ache in her body.

I have tenosynovitis on my wrist due to overuse of my wrist when I have to do a lot of computer work when I was working. I usually use Fastum gel on my wrist.

But I think it is important to rest the aching body part.

Used to have lotsa aches ESP neck/shoulder & waist. Tried stuff like salonpas and different brands of it. Also the liquid rub type (an-something) which only 'burn' my skin.

Finally someone recommended me this ketoxxxx patch. Does not feel any warm sensation. Was very effective. However more costly & have to get via phamarcy (salonpas etc could be bought easily), so more troublesome. Guess the medication probably is stronger.

But as patch, I found it harder to apply on my back.

Then I saw my GP & she let me try the FASTUM gel. Very cooling & also equally effective. Have since switched to the gel since easier to apply. But again, need to get from pharmacy.

FYI.

Any prescriptions required for all the above recommendations?

No need. But Fastum gel needs to get from pharmacist.
