School nurse has just indicated that my child needs glasses because of slightly poor vision. Can Atropine nip the situation in the bud now? Just want to learn more from experienced parents whose kids have gone through the Atropine treatment. Thanks.

You may wish to weigh the side effects of atropine vis-a-vis the slightly poor vision of your child.

My kids need glasses - 600+ degrees. But not using it for now due to side effects. But different specialists will have different opinions on this.

Hi as much as I would like to share about Atropine. It is prescribed for different treatment of eyes disease such as inflammation, to dilate the pupils and iris for eye doctor to be able to look behind the eyes for other findings. There is side effects if it is applied for long term. I have used this for a period of 4 months.
