Lately, there r more mosquitoes visitations at night, causing my children interrupted sleep.

I tried:

1. Mossif3 aromatherapy mosquito repellent from DIY shop
2. Antimos from NTUC
3. Mortein liquid from NTUC

All ineffective.

Has anyone used Photocatalyst Mozzie Magnet?

Please share what other gadgets r effective.

Many thanks in advance.

How do you use those repellent and insecticide?

Normally I'll use them in the day when the kids are not home, turn on the gadget and close all windows and doors....and hopefully they will suffocate by the fume! :rotflmao:

We do not use insecticide.

Repellent #1 & #2 are the peel off the cover, leave inside the room type - all day all night.

Mortein is switched on at night only.

Last night elder boy has an uninvited guest again. He went to sleep in the study room at 2am.

Now I am burning essential oil in his room.

I was at Cold Storage @ Jcube last night. The Baygon mosquito coil is not advisable for persons who are asthmatic. Not sure whether burning it in the day when the children are not at home will help with night time.

I noticed lately our area has more mosquitoes.

Was at the roadside flagging for taxi last evening, kena disturbed by mosquitoes. 1st time like this.

Not sure whether other residents nearby r experiencing more mosquitoes.

Hope this is not related to the closed off MRT work areas - now the main contractor Alphine is chapter 11, no one is working at the sites nearby.

I wrote to NEA a few weeks ago, a staff called to say LTA has taken over the control of these sites and WILL monitor the situation. NEA staff cannot go in to check as there might be dangers. what to do?

Any recommendation where to buy safe to use aromatherapy burner that comes with a tea candle at the bottom and citronella essential oil?

I saw at NTUC Unity @ JCube sells citronella candles, but for outdoors use only. Also not advisable to leave the candle burning when we sleep - fire hazard.
