Hi ladies,

I was scheduled for operation to remove my fibroids early Jan 2017 but the doctor who was supposed to operate on me injured himself and it is not know if he can operate on me on the day of my operation. I have 2 large fibroids, 18 cm and 11 cm and a few smaller ones. Anyone know of good doctor who are expert in removing large fibroids? I have not complete my family yet hence do not wish to remove anything but just the fibroids. Thanks in advance for any recommendation.

Is your doc in govt or private hospital? I am surprised there is no replacement or standby doc to perform the ops..

Which hospital are you with? Or are you open to changing hospital/doctor? I can drop you a pm if you would like to. Usually the treating doctor would recommend another colleague to take over the surgery if he is unable to perform it.

Hi ngl2010,

I'm also looking at UFE as alternative to myomectomy.

Can PM the name of your interventional radiologist?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Fally, it is Dr Toh Kok Hong from Mt Elizabeth. He is a diagnostic radiologist so he doesn't have a clinic like normal specialists do ('cos he works in imaging room). One mummy from KSP told me she had a hard time finding him...

You can try calling him at his department at 6731 2107 or emailing him at [email protected]

Hope you recover soon.
