Dear parents,
Anyone has any good recommendation for TCM practitioner for lower back sprain? Having difficulty walking and standing up and body is slanted to one side (due to muscle strain). I remember visiting one very good practitioner in city plaza (near lion city hotel) many years ago. It's a small shop run by husband & wife. But I have lost their name card and I don't know if the shop (or shopping center) still exisits. Sigh.

How's the X ray result?

The muscle relaxant is only a temporary relief, you have to seek treatment for the root of the cause.

And, be careful not to overdose on muscle relaxant, stop or half the dose when you are already feeling better.

Take care.

Last year, hubby felt persistent pain in his wrists. The GP prescribed a muscle relaxant. Hubby then commented his laohua got worse. After stopping the medicine, he said can see normally as before taking the medicine. Is this a side effect of the muscle relaxant?

Harlequin is right, muscle relaxant is just temporary ,is better for you to see a TCM or the one I mentioned. If you. Didn't get it cured completely,as you age,it will have more problem.

Take care

thanks all for your concern. the x ray showed nothing abnormal. just normal muscle strain. actually before visiting a and e, my relative did acupuncture for me for two consecutive days (was too paisei to ask for help at first , thats why thot of doing tuina). he also gave me chinese medicine. I felt that I've recovered 70% after the acupuncture and body not so slanted to the left anymore. but as Im traveling on sat, thought I better get a thorough check up. the pain is now manageable. I was given the pain killer injection and one dose of oral muscle relaxant yesterday at hospital and I didn't need to take any medicine today. the pain killers are just to bring overseas in case I need them. Ya, agree that taking too much of these western medicine is very bad for health esp our gastric system. I think I need to start doing some exercises to strengthen my muscles once I recover. cannot be lazy liao.

Possible, it relaxes all the muscles, even the tiny muscles in our eyes.

My friend suffered a droopy left facial muscles after a muscle relaxant overdose
