Hi all ...
Wonder if any of u had experienced child with double teeth? My 6 year old girl dropped her upper front tooth more than a mth ago n lower front tooth less than a month. I realize e tooth nxt to to 2nd dropped tooth was shaky too n slanted near to e middle.bt my girl has been avoiding using the front part to chew food so it has not fallen off. I didn't realize till today that an adult tooth has erupted behind the shaky milk tooth bt e milk tooth has not drop. The adult tooth is pushed to the back and not aligned to the other teeth at e bottom. Wonder if e dentist will help extract the milk tooth out so that e adult one can grow in place properly or let it drop on its own? Any affordable dentist to recommend? Thanks

Hi. I can share with you my experience. Had the same experience with my gal who is turning seven this year. Her two front milk teeth were still firmly intact when one adult teeth were secretly growing behind. We brought her to the school dental nurse who gave us 2 options, to manually wiggle the milk teeth frequently hoping that they would loosen soon or to extract the 2 milk teeth immediately. We opted for the latter. After the extraction, we told her to always use her tongue to 'push' out the adult teeth so that they will align with the rest.

Sorry, I have no child-friendly dentist to recommend. We usually go to HPB dental which has long queue for appointments.

If the milk tooth is shaky, just get your child to keep shaking it until it falls out. If the tooth is still firm or your child won't do the shaking, and the adult tooth is more than half-grown, you can get the milk tooth extracted by a dentist. The adult tooth will usually move to the correct position eventually. If your child's school has a dental clinic, that is probably the best place to ask for help. If not, any dentist will do it but will charge (not sure how much). Maybe you can try a polyclinic? HPB dental clinic may be able to give you a slot if there is a cancellation but waiting list can be 3 mths long.

My DD too is in the same situation. It has been about 2 months since we first discovered. Her baby tooth was very firm then and the school dentist advised her to keep pushing with her tongue. We should have gone back to the dentist for review last month but DD keeps forgetting to go during school days. Luckily it has started to be shaky today and looks like it will fall out within this weekend and she can avoid an extraction. Will have to continue pushing the adult tooth with her tongue to the front to its rightful position. This is the first tooth she is dropping, at 7yrs+7mths old

Hi all thanks for the feedbk! I've tried telling my girl to shake her tooth n probably make appt wif a dentist to assess the situation,hopefully it will fall off after much shaking, I Duno if the extraction will be painful n scare her off as she's nvr been to one

Extraction of milk teeth won't hurt as much as permanent teeth as there is very little root. If it's shaky, it will hurt less.

My girl just drop e other upper front tooth when she ate subway. Seems a lil painful n there's blood, not sure if its shaky before that, now I'm a lil paranoid if there's anything to be concern as a total of 3 teeth has dropped within like a month, e other one is shaky n adult teeth erupted behind it, is hers dropping too fast too furious?

No, don't worry. I'm sure you've seen kids of that age with gap-toothed grins - it's very normal.

Hee thanks hopefully yah now she think it's ugly to smile bt still can joke abt it, I tested her pronunciation luckily it sounds as normal, if e shaky tooth drop anytime, it'll be one big gap infront
