Anyone having this problem? Am currently using Phytho hair loss treatment and Sunsilk Hair Fall Shampoo and conditioner. Does it help? What other methods to prevent hair loss?

Is the use of comb important? Heard that using those jade comb is good for the hair? Is that true or just urban legend?

Hey,

Those hair fall control shampoo doesn't stop hair loss. Hair fall = reduces breakage in hair. Also, if you are losing hair and if you use those 2-in-1 shampoo, this might lead your scalp to be too early thereby causing hair loss.

If you are concerned, see a GP. He might have some affordable solution for you.

I am currently using provillus ... I've been on it for 5 weeks and i must say there is a major improvement in my part. I got the pkg which incl both the vitamins and the topical. I use it once a day every evening. The area which i was balding in was the top middle portion of my head, not sure why cause no one in my family is loosing hair accept me so its not genetic. I have regrowth in that area, few strands are coming up and my wife says its so much better than it was before. I still have time to go, think you are suppose to expect good results in 4-6 months. So far 5 weeks and i do see improvements so my hope is up. So from my point of view, it works and no side effects. More info here http://working-hair-loss-treatment.blogspot.com

Hi, I have been using the 101D for less than two weeks and my hair loss has already slowed down considerably. I feel frustrated because I didn't discover your website until after I had spent over $100 on a five month supply of Minoxidil

For hair loss, I think the only proven and real effective drug is propecia. It is very effective, but takes at least 3 months to see the effect. It needs a doctor prescription to start taking the drug. One tablet a day; a box has 28 tablets and costs about S$90.

Kiasimom,

Don't know if this will help. Heard on the radio that diet can be one factor.

A nutritionist advised to take zinc, iron supplements and eat protein based meals.

Have you thought of getting your scalp assessed?? Like in Trichocare? My niece had falling hair and went to Yun Nam, but did not work. Don't know is it because she did not follow up? This was like 10 yrs ago.

I am using Garnier Neril Anti-Loss Guard Shampoo, conditioner and hair tonic. My hair became thin aft giving birth to my DS. My mom uses that and it seems to work for her. She has quite a thick head of hair for her age.

I can't comment on mine yet cuz this is the 2nd month I am using. I think results will only kick in after 3 to 6 mths. I also stopped using gel etc ....and will not follow up with rebonding of hair. Think all these also contribute if you are susceptible.

Btw, I better warn you that the smell of the hair tonic is whoa super strong. My DH buay tahan the smell  It took me sometime before I got used to the smell myself ....

I am recently experiencing hair loss probably due to hair dye... Need to cover grey hairs.

To reduce the loss, I went back to using pilfood shampoo (GP prescribed pilfood tablet and shampoo to me when I had post natal hair loss. It was effective as there was a significant reduction in loss and my hair starts to grow after that).

I started using pilfood 1 month back on a daily basis (bought from Unity pharmacy at $16?). One thing for sure is that I think I look like I got more hair now. During our X'mas gathering, a friend was asking what did I eat, my hair looked more volumnous.

Hi MMM,

I recently also heard about pilfood. My boss told me about it because she is experiencing hair loss. She claims that after taking the tablet for a day, there is significant notice of lesser hair on the floor. I did not know it can be bought off the shelve.

I am actually using "Regain" 2% solution for maintaining hair growth. I have used the 5% solution before due to my recovery from dengue fever and there is a sudden loss of hair 3 months after my recovery. This solution was introduced by the skin specialist. The only con about this solution is that once you stop using, the loss will resume.

minoxidil also works, but less effective. propecia, some say, can effect libido. :)
