Hi,

My bb girl are pestering by the irritating phlegm for a period of time. Whenever she breath we can hear the "snoring" sound. Despite feeding phlegm medicine (prescribe by GP) and blowing into her nostrils, the phlegm are still stuck in her breathing pipe. May I know are there others way to get rid of the phlegm ?

Hi!
I would suggest you bring her for 小儿推拿. The very famous one will be the one near to Kemangan MRT station. But i understand from some threads that there are some good ones around too. You probably have to bring her there once a week for the phelgm to clear.

weather is no good, suddenly hot suddenly wet, so kids get sick easily. Try some porridge water (cook little rice with a lot of water). Just drink the porridge water. I call this the chinese antibiotics. My kids drink this water whenever they cough or have flu. No need to see dr. (my kids) Take care.

Don't feed her anything that's sweet cos it'll build up phlegm. Give her lots of warm water to wash away the phlegm.

In case you're not aware, milk is one of the major aggravators of phlegm. It contains sugars which bacteria thrive on, which will cause the phlegm to continuously develop. I never learned this from any doctor or book - it was a fellow parent who taught me some years ago when I had the same problem with DD1.

If she is merely having some 'noisy' breathing and otherwise well, I'm not sure you really need to do anything at all.
