Severe Giddiness

Postby Porky Pig » Wed May 28, 2014 8:54 pm

My mother is 70 years. Recently she has been having severe giddiness in the mornings to the extent of vomiting her food out. I brought her to SGH A&E yesterday and they did some basic tests such as blood pressure, sugar level and blood test. All came out normal. They have also ruled out balancing and vertigo. Gave her an injection yesterday and she was fine. This morning, she had the same issue. She was unable to sleep well too. What else could be the problems? Anyway has any neurologist to recommend?

The doc did not detect anything abnormal. She was given a follow up visit in July. However she is still having the same problem. Haiz.

Ask for a check of her ears at ENT. Problems with the ears does cause severe giddiness. It could be meniere's disease.

She has already gone through ENT specialist and even Eye Centre too. Apart from cataracts, there is nothing abnormal. Thats why i am very lost too.

top-notch! very nice elderly man. Pay a bit more for the first consultation and you decide for yourself if you would like to continue treatment with him. professor to many neurologists in spore. if your mum is already subsidised patient in govt hospital, he may refer her to his former students working in govt hospitals.

family was treated by him before. so i dare to recommend here. no commission.

If u r going, there is no nets or credit card. Either bring a couple hundreds or bring cheque bk. Hope your mum gets diagnosed correctly and quickly get the appropriate treatment.
