Weight loss. How obsessed are you?

Postby kiasimom » Mon Dec 14, 2009 5:09 pm

I have to admit. Weight loss is my lifelong career

Since young, I have been very conscious about my weight.
I am not blessed with a slim figure and I will put on weight even if I just drink water!

So, everytime, when people say a certain product is good, I will buy it and try.

I have tried numerous products like, i-slim, x-diet, cambridge diet , extrim etc....

I also applied products like Nivea fat burning gel and many more, some of which I cannot recall the names now....

More than 10 years down the road, I am still looking out for the best product that works.

If I hear any good recommendation, you bet I will try it out.

Not only that, I have went for several treatments.

I went to Expressions, no results.
De Beaute, no results
And finally I found London Weight Management. At that time, they are call Sensualite. I must admit their treatment works.

However, once you stop the treatment, you will regain your previous weight :-(

I then tried to go to a specialist.
I went to the Makeover Clinic at Eastpoint for mesotherapy.

I was injected thousands of times with cocktails of microinjections of conventional or homeopathic medicines, vitamins, minerals and amino acids.

I look like I was stung by ants thousands of times and it is painful! Ouch!
After parting with yet another few thousands, it doesn't work.

So now, I control what I eat, and is rather skeptical about those so-called treatments.

I am still considering liposuctions.

I guess that should be the most effective surgery by far.

How about you? What is your experience in weight loss?

Hm.. just a timely information for me because I would like to start to lose weight.

I have tried using weight loss medicine from the doctor before (cant remember the name) and it works. Within 2 months, i lost 8kg. But once I stop taking the tablets, the weight slowly crept back.

I have recently started on Kinohimitsu detox drink. But does not seem to help in reducing weight.

Maybe you can consider trying D'Adamo's Blood Type Diet (google for the book) - in this famous and popular book, which scientists claim is unproven, Dr D'Adamo advocates that our blood type influences our reaction to certain foods. For example, in my case, B, wheat products (eg. bread) causes weight gain, whereas milk and eggs are good for us.

What you eat also influences your capacity to fight disease, and your overall health.

It makes sense to me and my family. It might explain why some people eat enormous amounts of some food but never grow fat. It might explain why some people eat a little bit of something and immediately explode. It might be the case that you have been eating a lot of the "poisons" for your blood type.

Worth a try? :) Just remember that many "professional" nutritionists, scientists, etc. say that the blood type diet is nonsense - but I ask you, these slimming pills and diets were invented by the same "professional" nutritionists and scientists - did they work for you? :)

Oh, I took the tablets a bluehite capsule, can't remember name offhand. Think it is called panbesy. Makes me hyperactive and sweat a lot. Heart beats very fast too!
Change to a milder dosage, red and white capsule, but no effects.

The blue and white capsules however do work. The side effects are: Heart beating faster, sweat easily, afraid of heat and insonmia :-)

have been gaining weight since I've stopped breastfeeding  Tried blood type diet and it worked to a certain extent - then I love my pork too much to keep completely off it... :P I'm Chinese afterall.

Am currently on an Atkin-like diet. Low carbs and if so, only brown variety - for Breakfast and Lunch. None for dinner. So far, haven't weighed myself but feel much lighter and can fit into my tighter stuff. I'm probably in denial 8) and refusing to "upsize"...

Marine Parade, i think the standard 3 mths package is about $2.5k with 10 sessions of accupunture. I top up another 10 sessions of accupunture as i've too much weight to loose. I spent about $3.3K. FYI, the first 2 weeks detox period was quite "xiong" as you've to follow strictly on their supplements for 3 meals. No carbo at all. Anyway, if you're keen pm me and i can send you my sales consultant no. Think if i'm not wrong, if you sign up together with you friend, you'll get about $200 - $300 rebate.
