Turned-in feet / pigeon-toes feet. Please help!

Postby VVM » Wed Aug 27, 2014 10:16 pm

Hi everybody,

My 4.5-years-old daughter has problem with her feet. Although she can walk, run, jump like every kid else, but when she walks, her feet turn inward, instead of go straight normally :(

I'm so disapointed in myself because may be I see this problem so late :(

Anybody has child with pigeon-toes like my daughter? Can you give me some advice? What hospital/clinic I have to take my child to for checking her feet? She is 4 years and 6 months old, is it too late for her pigeon-toes feet to improve? :(

Thank you and waiting for your replies.

The first place to start is probably your GP or pediatrician. They will be the best one to point you to the right professional and give you a referral if you need one.

Tks for your advice,

I found in "Flat feet" topic that Orchard Clinic is a good choice for feet problem. So we'll make a date for checking my kid's feet there this weekend. Hoping everything goes well.

Here's Fongjin's quote in that topic, which is very useful for me:
New update for this podiatrist. My cousins daughter also went for treatment from dr Jessica for "pigeon toe" walking, which is basically walking with toe pointed in. After just one month of treatment her legs are straight and doesn't need any more treatment. Why did we not hear about this profession before?? My cousin spend so many hours and $$ at KK hospital and no improvement for 2 years, then stop because it was no use one. They should start a podiatry school in Singapore, very good proffesion but hardly any around!
here is the website For anyone who have children that got feet problem http://podiatry.orchardclinic.com/
hey thanks so much for sharing! My DS is ten already. We started him on special insoles when he was 8 - he's developed an arch but still, his toes turn inwards when he walks... it's affecting his sports :( Will check out the clinics recommended here/

I just sent my little girl to Tiffany Tsao Podiatry Clinic. Very gentle podiatrist and spend quality time with my girl. My little girl just adored her very much. Oh yea, she is at Mount Elizabeth Orchard hospital.

My niece had the same thing, was very bad that kids at school bullied her say she walked like duck. Was so hurt to hear that but my sister (mother of child) told me that it was getting better after seeing a podiatrist. she got insoles and just met her during cny, condition so much improved! my sister brought her to east coast podiatry centre to see Dr. Lai.

Read about him and hes known as Singapore's highest trained and qualified Podiatrist! No wonder.
