rickyckc, you've not given more details as to why you need to consult with an optimetrist.

Here's an existing forum you may find useful: http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum ... .php?t=109

Sorry about that and thanks for the link.

It's for my 8 yr old daughter who recently went thru her school's health check and was advised to visit an optometrist.

She used to have very good eyesight until now.

Hi,
I've been patronizing Alan Optics for several years...now my son gets his spectacles made there. It's a little ex, but comfortable. I had a pair of glasses made somewhere but it was uncomfortable. Alan Optics is at Coronation Plaza 2nd floor.

I go to optic point. So far no problem with them.

I go there too janet_lee88! The serve staff and Alan have been there for ages. Come to think of it, Coronation Plaza tenants have been there for eons!

Think besides the qualification of the optemetrist, it's also their chair-side manners

Hey, i also go to Alan for my kids spectacles!
My hubby has been going to him since his JC days!
I don't think it is expensive if you compare with bigger companies like Capitol.
For myself, i go to Capitol as i like their range of spectacles.

Andaiz/Carebear,
I used to stay around Coronation, so going to Alan Optics was the most convenient for me. Had a pair of glasses made there and I'm still wearing it now (after 10 years). Alan told me it's outdated but I told him I wear it only at home.

Went to Optical 88 to get another pair done 2 years back, but it wasn't comfortable. Brought it to Alan to change to transition lenses and adjust the frame.

Hmmm...could he have meant that the degrees may have changed? :?
