Thyroid problem

Postby janet88 » Thu Feb 04, 2010 6:16 pm

Hi lymmlim,
I was born with hypothyroidism, ie no thyroid gland. So I have to take thyroxine as supplement...been taking this for the past 38 years.
My mum told me I kept vomitting all the milk even after burping...fortunately a doctor realized I had this prob and after blood tests were done, it was confirmed that I need to take thyroxine.

I suggest you bring your daughter for a checkup soon and start medication if necessary. This should be under endocrine.
My parents are small built, so I am not tall. During my pregnancies, I saw the doctor more frequently as I needed to increase dosage of thyroxine. My 2 kids are normal and do not have this problem.
