But seriously hor...I think the joy he gets from his ds face can never be the same as the joy he gets from his DW face.... So the rate of return is different even if he spends the same amount.verykiasu2010 wrote:LOL ! you very 偏心 lah LOL!markfch wrote:DW ever mentioned to me that she rated me an 'A' as a father but 'C-' as a husband. Everything I do, I do it for ds. Occasionally my conscious will prick me and that's when I'll try to do something for dw.
Recently I bought a $2k branded bag for dw and I felt the pinch, though I tried not to show it. But I'm sure if I were do the same for ds, I would feel very very happy. I'm not sure if it's a hainanese thing cos my father is also like that.
Anyone else is guilty of the same sin?
Wives, don't flame me hor.....I am also a wife so I can see the difference in the level of joy a husband can derive from the child versus the wife. As wives, we really don't have the same child-like happiness that can go deep into one's heart. In fact some wives might even be so doubtful why they received such an expensive gift, did the husband have any hanky-panky recently?

The level of joy i can derive from my hubs is as joyful as the ones i get
from my two girls. If not more...

mark is definitely NOT like that ..... i remember in the money thread, we all know that he is so wealthy that his son does not know what is money ....so now and then buying a $xxk gift does not imply any guilt of whatever sort ....ksi wrote:Just a tip for husbands.
It is better to be a good and supportive husband every day than to give a $x K gift once in a while.
Mark I don't mean you are like that ah....

Thanks, yes I'm not a stingy person. I'm actually quite careless with my money, that's why I perennially poor.qizai wrote: You're not a stingy person by nature. You probably felt the pinch because you think a bag that costs $2k is just too expensive. Have you bought a $2k toy for your child before? If you have bought $50 worth of toys for your child, chances are that you won't bet an eyelid getting a $50 blouse for your wife too.
I didn't offer any excuses cos I agree with my wife's rating. One of my enduring saving grace to dw is that I is aware that I'm not always rite, and know that I'm quite imperfect actually.qizai wrote: You're man enough to accept your C- rating and share it with us. It also shows you're most probably man enough to ask your wife what you can do to improve your rating next semester.
Kinky ....qizai wrote: Treat your wife as a lover and a woman, and not your child's mother who shares the upbringing and chores with you . In fact, go as far as to treat her as your mistress in bed. Heehee...
