If a 13 year old child is starting to go into BGR.

As parents, would you be supportive?

NO.

It is OK to listen to the kids tease each other about 'I like you, he likes her' etc, innocent likings cannot be avoided but a relationship to the extend of holding hands, single dates etc....NO.
And looking around and looking at all the hanky panky, I find myself fuming mad..... :nunchuk:

NO. After 'A' level, then it's ok. But not 13 yo, only in Sec 1. Studies should be the main priority.

If we totally reject BGR, the kid may just do it(go out together) behind our back.
So how??

Definitely not supportive. Boy or girl?
Probably should sit down and have a good talk.
Explain possible consequences of such an early relationship.

Oh no....I'm having a headache
With all these possible issues, how to head back to workforce next time.....

Probably will have to sit down and have a good talk with the child.....let them understand the 'dangers/cons' of such early BGR. Maybe need to 'pretend' (yes, pretend cos I am actually quite old-fashioned in my thinking, but bo-bian) and try to get them to share with us.......dun shut us out and do things behind our back :skeptical:

DD told me 2 of her Y3 seniors are dating. So I took this opportunity to tell her about why they should not be dating and so on. Easier to talk about others, so she won't feel defensive. Thankfully, she agreed with me.

easy to start by talking about everything under the sun when they are still young. That way there won't be any taboo topic that they want to hide from you.
