As a Christian, my purpose in life is to serve God and make sure my two sons are instructed in His ways. Boys must be kept on the right path as they must grow up to be fathers, caretakers and protectors.

if I am free from eczema, I would be very happy.

I forgot to add...to be contended with what we have.

Truly, and I hope nobody is offended. My faith is my reason for living. When I see my two sons, my husband, I know I have been truly blessed. The truth is all around me!

The purpose of life is to live it, the good, the bad, and the ugly. To find joy in the little things, find the courage to keep going through the bad, and try to leave the world just a bit better for your having passed through. If you can look back and know that you did your best, you lived it well.

Wholeheartedly agree :rahrah: ! Not necessary to be so profound to seek inner peace in some remote sanctuary, save the world, or live the wise words of some great men/women in the past. I believe the purpose of life should be that simple as you described.

DDs asked me the purpose of life, what is the use of doing this and that. So I brought the two to the stadium, ask them to sprint 6 rounds. Then I asked what are they thinking during the run. The answer is nothing, they are just to struggling to breathe. The elder one understands, and is running on her own now. The young one, will take few more rounds I guess.

in life, there are ups and down.

There are times where you stood at the mountain top. There are also times, when u stood right at bottom of the valley.
At different stages of our life, we faced different type of struggle.

Old age come, when your children leave your nest, get married to set up their own family outside, u feel lonely.

Old age come, when sickness strike without mercy, u feel lonely, desperate for a cure to your medical affliction (pain), when doctor tell u that your days are numbered, inspite of whatever medical treatment doctors prescribe u, or become a dementia (can't recognize yourself, who you are, can't recognize your own kids, can't recognize your grand-children) ... u stood right at bottom of the valley. From cradle baby crib, to coffin

If you’re not excited (or at least enthusiastic) in the morning — then you’re most likely not living your highest purpose. If you’re waking up a couple of days each week with a monotonous feeling of having to do “this” again today — that’s probably a sign that you’re “off purpose.” When you’re Living On Purpose, you wake up excited in the morning because a personally exciting life awaits you.
?? I disagree. I’m living out my purpose right now, but not every morning is full of the feeling of excitement. There is still the humdrum of daily living like traffic jams to deal with on the way to my purpose-filled tasks!

I think I’d rather say that “if you’re waking up every single day of the week having the monotonous feeling of disliking what u do, then you’re off-purpose”.
