i would prefer not to get my hubby involved in my female friends' matters and i also dont want him to get involved in any matters his female friends (his own circle of friends) have.

IMHO

If a guy would stray, it doesn't matter where & how he know the girl. Removing 1 source or multiple sources would not help prevent straying.

So in that case, does it mean no point trying to stop? And the man should be fully responsible for his actions if he strays? As I look around, lotsa older couples straying as well, I find it rather depressing and losing confidence. Where are all 从一而终 ？

And when do the wife step in? Step in early, we are deemed petty, over-reacting. Step in late.....well too late lah. So when are the 'warning signs' to take action? Maybe the MAN in this forum can give some insights or ladies with experience can share share

take a look at sept 11.

many firemen and police officers were given the task to help the widows of fellow colleagues and frineds who died in the attack.

many ended up falling for these widows despite there not being any problems in their own marriages. "oh they need me" were the common excuse.

some of these widows + their kids were friends of the wives and their children.

sometimes both parties might not be out to seduce one another but when throw together for long period, one never knows.

even if the husband go back to his family, the wife might not know if his heart is still with them.

don't get me wrong.

there is point in trying. just that this is no the right method.

It's true, my ex-boss who is 65years old this year got into an affair with one 50 years old office gal. So the age don't matter. They will stray regardless of age. Both went into it knowing each other marital status. The wife got to know about it and came to the office to make a scene. Guess what? All the men in my office protected my boss! They help him lie knowingly. They tell me in my face that men will protect men. So what can I say. I only pity the wife.

I find that for the older mature folks, and I don't mean the ones who play the field, get into relationships because of companionship. Often the push factor at home is the main reason. Likely to fill the emotional emptiness.

i think they protect the boss not because they are men, but more so not to get into the boss' bad book.

i think they protect the boss not because they are men, but more so not to get into the boss' bad book.

same thought here: tehy protect him becoz he is the boss....

but many men always think they have the privileges to stray....

I think Man are visual animals, so spend some time look after yourself, make yourself look good, chances of man straying might be lower?
