Changi Village Hotel
[A Far East Hotel]
1 Netheravon Road

http://www.changivillage.com.sg/index.c ... E6EE2F81B7

While waiting for hubs to finish his night race (marathon), lemme share
a gem of a place this Changi Village Hotel is. Some pictures to share too.
10 mins - 15 mins slow walk across the bridge will lead to cool breezy
Changi Beach. 5 mins out from the hotel is the Changi open street of
push carts and loads of makan places to explore! Extremely convenient.
There's CHEERS and 7-11 for the late snack cravings and also the main
Nasi Lemak attraction at Changi Village itself. People are queueing in
troves till now! Happening!!!

A cosy nook for a day with your spouse. Check in here is at 2pm and
check out is at 12nn the following day. Reservations can be made with
choice to have it with or without b'fast. The kiddies are with grandpa so
here i am enjoying some me time... nice music on... air con full blast on
a warm nite... there's cable too if you're the TV kind AXN and STAR
MOVIES and also pay on demand. Broadband surfing available from
the comfort of the rooms.

Queen Bed with nice soft extra long pillows...

Image
Neat sliding doors revealing closet space... safe included...

Image
Washing area... with ample mirror perimeter for some action in
the bathroom...

Image
Cosy tub for couple soaking time... :hugs:

Image
Blinds can roll up to see thru' the bedroom area...
If lonely showering alone with an "un-sporting" &
"un-participating" spouse... roll up to entice... hehee..

Nice sitting area by the window can also provide alternative
romp space, hahaa!... and again there's a nice long mirror to
indulge in your own sexy moments..

All this for abt SGD $188 for a quickie escape for 2.
And with the convenient amenities, it is a great place
to tuck into without the kiddies.

Hi Bubs,

Changi Village Hotel sounds good, equipped with beach(sigh but DH doesnt believe in sitting down and looking at the sea) and food!

Do you know any day hotels which is respectable type but paid by hours?

So, was 'it' before or after the marathon?

One place I've been to recently was St Regis. I normally couldn't even think of affording the rates but recently a bit more accessible due to economic downturn. Nice butler service, evening wine tasting and great spa, $320++.

Respectable....... that i cannot affirm.
But if they charge hourly it can most possibly cater
to any kind of sleazy intent lah.. in my opinion. But
if you do google it up, you will be directed to the
main 3 chains. Fragrance... 81... and Victoria.

St Regis! Wah liao!

IT neva happened dude. T'was there for emotional and moral support oni
lah. No naughty intentions. Just like footballers.. (ok, some of them  )
who swear off all intimacy relations prior to an important game, likewise
for crazy marathoners! Wuahahahahaa! Weak knee syndrome, or
so i've heard. Can't verify that tho, cos i'm a chick. Kekekeke..

St Regis sounds extravagantly pampering and delightful, but phew... wah
liao! Hefty price tag... I dun wanna imagine how much total bill was with
da ++ and da GST and da room service (dun suppose you guys went out
to makan lah...) and plus da SPA!?! But i'm sure it was an extra wonderful
rejuvenating retreat for you and yer missus... screw the price tag, aye.

A to-die-for destination for couple time is Banyan Tree Bintan. Fantastic service, delectable food, great sea view(jacuzzi bath facing the sea), buggy service(to drive you from one end of the resort to another end), rose petal bath with candlelights, great spa...

We went to Bintan recently for a short chill out break with the girls with
Holiday Bagus.

Nirwana Resort Hotel was having this Kids Wanna Have Fun Promotion,
when we went where the girls were entitled to have a free lunch buffet
during our stay there. Currently this promotion has been swapped to
Amazing Fun @ Nirwana Gardens.

Our Superior Room >Clean spacious, nice cool aircon, garden view.

This spread greeted us during the free buffet breakfast..

NASI LEMAK

That's fragrant coconut rice with chicken rendang, and all the other
condiments for the nasi lemak. It was gooood!

OTHER YUMMIES!

NABLEZ KIDS CLUB
Image Image Image Image

The kids club has a daily female staff attending to the guest's children.
For the days we were there, the staff followed the timetable very closely
which i like. Cause in some resorts, they change programmes at their
whim and the children who have been looking forward to specific
programmes featured, get disappointed. The crafts done here are
also carried out at no extra charge! Only the T-shirt printing is offered
at a cost with the help of a very cheerful young chap, who was a hit with
all the kiddies who visited. After the kids club closes for the day at 5pm,
the children can resume play at the nice playground or make sandcastles
at the relatively clean beach.... followed by a nice cool swim, a sumptuous
dinner and head back to the room.

Kelong Dinner with beautiful sunset view!

We had kelong seafood dinner on one of the nights and boy was it
delicious! The surroundings were calm, breezy with the sound of
waves and the afternoon sky slowly setting... the view is breath-taking...
If we were without the kids, it would've been a tad more romantic tho. :P

Meals can be in a set meal or order from ala carte depending on your
tummy capacity for the day. But do be warned that you shouldn't order
too much even with an empty tummy. We tend to get greedy when we're
hungry... The food's really filling and the servings are rather generous.

Below are shots of the kelong bar in the afternoon, the sweet and sour
black garoupa (deep fried) and the chicken tofu veggie dish.

Image Image Image

Uhh... actually there were chilli crabs and tom yum soup but i guess
me and hubs could've lapped it all up before the chance to take nice
snapshots of them.

This is how it looked like at sunset. Dun go too late. Later too dark to
enjoy any sights...
