I wish I can have some ME time esp during weekends to relax, spend some quality time with my loved ones and pets. But wait, I have office projects one after another, weekends are used to catch up the outstanding work during weekdays. I dont know when is my ME time.

Work is never ending n I don't see a point bringing home your work to do.

You have to draw a line clearly between family n work n be firm. Otherwise, your work will always take top priority over family, which to me, is not rite.

Sorry, don't mean to offend you but as I have been working nonstop without rest for the past 28 years, I finally see enlightenment. No matter how hard you work, your company will never appreciate you. But your family is always with you n you will value family more than anything else.

ME time is crucial for sanity reasons...even a robot will fall apart if it is set to work 24/7 365 days.

not doing anything can also be considered ME time.

I totally agree with what zbear mentioned.
you can work 24 hours for the company and never get appreciated...in fact still easily dispensable...but the time spent with the family will be always remembered.

I enjoy shaking legs in front of the PC when I am done with my housework.
I eat my breakfast and sip coffee while doing so.
Something I do NOT allow the kids to do :rotflmao:

Thanks zbear and janet_lee88 for sharing.
I do constantly remind myself that I am replaceable in office but not for my loved ones.
I am not the strong career minded and ambitious type. Else I wont be stuck in my current position for donkey years.
Unsure about other org, mine simply expect one to perform multiple roles even on those not related to area of expertise. Imagine one specialises in science, is asked to do procurement/tendering process :(

I agree with you.. previously when I was working.. I get angry easily when I am home especially after I stomach so much nonsense at work..

Now I am not working.. mood also improve.. can cook better meals for my family.. overall
I feel happier.. Heading to Paragon now.. me time.. shopping plus dinner with friend..
