I am not sure where to post this - kindly move if necessary.
My husband and I have different views on this
- we want to arrange a lunch with my MIL to celebrate her birthday and we couldn't agree on a date as everyone has his commitment. Hence, I suggest to my hubby to compromise on my dd's school hour as her PSLE is over now. i.e. we could pick her up from school earlier around 11.45am to make it to lunch with my MIL and others in the extended family on the day that everyone could make it except my daughter.

My hubby said this is not right as it is blatant break of school rule. It is disrespect for school rule.
I disagree as it is P6 and PSLE is over. Some of her friends are already oversea for holidays.

what do you think? Am I in the wrong?

Thanks for posting... but I think the title should be " relationship with spouse after PSLE..."

I have many different views with hubby on view of bringing up our kids too... now that PSLE is over.... we seems to have more and more different views

School for P6ers now is nothing but PLAY n PLAY.

Why not skip school for 1 day n give a Letter of Exemption to the FT. School will not mind becos its playing time for P6ers.

It appears your hubby is too rigid - can ask him to relax?????

Dont pick her up earlier from sch. The sch is not a child care where u can drop n pick up with no very valid reasons. The teachr will be in a difficult position whether to release your kid on that day. You should just let her skip that day altogether n write a letter to explain to the teacher n for record.

P6s have completed their exams.
it was chaotic in class as the teachers left the kids to do as they wished.

your husband is not wrong. Basic discipline must be maintain.

If you really must do it, then letting her off the whole day will bebetter then fetching her early.

I agreed. Gal has been complaining that the class is chaotic and feeling bored. Have agreed to let her stay at home instead, since we going holidaying soon :dancing:
