Pretty ducks..

1. Give each other occasional massage
2. Write love notes to each other once in a while
3. Participate in each other's hobby or have a joint hobby
4. Go on regular periodic dates without the kids and enjoy cuisines that brings back fond memories
5. Whisper words to each other at close proximity instead of always talking to each other from one room to another...

An extra point:
6 Stop calling each other "Daddy" or "Mummy"!!!!!

Maybe not as romantic as schweppes' but effort is required.

True that romance does not equal sex lah, tankee...but being busy people sometimes one and the same loh.

My 5 are as follows:

1. Spending pockets of time together, just the two of you
Just talking and listening to one another on topics other than (1) Kids, (2) Money (3) What needs to be repaired/worked on in the house; and just concentrate on each other.

2. Doing an activity you both enjoy
Could be something really insipid, like cycling tandem at ECP. Ha!

3. Surprise call/text
Just to say hi! and I love you. You'd be surprised how refreshing it is for you and your spouse.

4. Cook something you both want to try
Heehee, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach?

5. Speak his/her love language
This is something I've learnt from G Chapman (author of Love Language) - it ain't anything till your recipient feels loved: either because there was physical touch (hug etc); words of affirmation (encouraging words); deeds of kindness; quality time or gifts (receiving them).

I don't think many will approve of what i have been doing.......
My DH and I do not sleep together.
We have not been sleeping together since the birth of my elder child 12 years ago.
I think this has an important role in keeping our marriage alive!
We surprise each other by creeping into each other's room on and off in the middle of the night. Sometimes in each other's toilet also.
I like the feeling that i am not the "wife" but his secret lover instead. He sleeps in his study with his computer which he considers as his "wife".

  ooooh, carebear...like conjugal visits leh! I like the "spicy-ness". But truly, only the couple can decide if this is indeed "good" for them.

I remember watching a documentary about a certain tribe in China where the married couple don't stay together, and the husband would make secret conjugal visits to his wife! I think it is so exciting!
