No, I don't cook soup with it..Lol. There will be juices/water from food but it does not warrant a follow out, I guess I flip it fast and careful. The only time when it follows out is when I open the lid cos there isn't a catchment plate as compared to the Happycall.BigDevil wrote:So it leaks when you flip it?dasalo wrote: Mine is black in colour but has no rubber seal.
That's what some studies claimed for teflon coated non-stick pans, especially those using a similar but lower quality chemical (teflon is TM, I think).dasalo wrote: I read from the motherhood forum that you can't cook with the pan on high heat cos it'll release toxic substance???? . How true is that? Did I read it wrongly?
I didn't really weigh the pan but with food in the pan i'd gauge that the weight is approximately 500gms-1kg (depending on what you cook). It was the heaviest when i cooked fried rice last week.ksme wrote:Mamabliss, mamabliss wrote:Hi CMF,
There are altogether 4 different sizes of HappyCall pans. To what I've read in the description in GMarket, here are the different dimensions
1) New Pressure Pan (this is the basic pan) - 275x240x55
2) Deeper Pressure Pan (this was the pan I bought) - 275x240x75
3) Thin Pan - 245x210
4) Jumbo Pressure Pan - 300x250x85
The pan can be washed by detergent, I've been washing it like I've been washing my regular frying pans. It's ok
Hope that helps!
Can I check with you how heavy is your deeper pan?
If i am not wrong, this pan uses Ceramic coating and should be safer than regular non-stick pans.Nebbermind wrote:That's what some studies claimed for teflon coated non-stick pans, especially those using a similar but lower quality chemical (teflon is TM, I think).dasalo wrote: I read from the motherhood forum that you can't cook with the pan on high heat cos it'll release toxic substance???? . So anyone going to Robinsons today?dasalo wrote:Aigoo.. Fruitless. Just got back from Robinsons, they indeed had stocks 10 days ago and was on promotion, price was $69.12 after less and they only carry the basic pan. The next batch will come in tmr but the Korean staff says better to go on wednesday. Whether the price will be at $108 less 20%+20% or less is still unknown.
