I can't cook to save my life. But my dad loves the Supor Diamond Wok - it's easy to maintain (don't have to worry about scratching, nonid to use special spatula), and it's fairly easy to wash.

Can't remember which, he used one brand before and after one round of cooking crabs/la la, the wok was horribly scratched by the shells.

I have 2 woks - one 36' slightly round bottom (brand: U-Like), one 28' flat bottom (brand: WMF).

So far, the stir fried veg still tastes better using the round bottom wok.

Cooking with s/steel wok is different from the tradition wok. I would suggest you visit those demo stalls on how to use before making the decision.

My SIL got her s/steel wok from MIL, she complains of burnt marks that are difficult to clean away. Though I do not hv this issue. Think she does not know how to use it.

MIL has a few s/steel woks, but she is still using her old reliable kuali.

It's not Super, but Supor. Yes, it's a brand.

Some time ago, they were advertising it on TV, saying that you can fry crabs with it without scratching it. Used to cost $100+, but prices have come down since.

You can even get it from vpost: https://shop.vpost.com.sg/GenericMall/i ... t=SNSEB006

Wahhh, Bigdevil, this also you know. :salute:

Yup, this is available in OG/Metro etc in various sizes. can wait for their sales to get like 20% off. I think my dad's wok is bit lesser than $90 (either the 34 or 36 inch one).

sorry, I think there are some typing errors.
36' means 36 feet.
36'' means 36 inches.

Hi,

It is a non-stick wok, not a s/steel one.
i think it was 34 or 36 cm?

I knew about this because DW saw it on TV, and wanted me to look for one. But we finally balked at the $100+ price tag!

34 / 36 inches?!?
That's 3 ft wide! You have a whole army to be fed at home? Because the last time I saw a wok that big was in the army!
