Baking Essentials - tools, edible decorations etc ....

Postby autumnbronze » Fri Jul 16, 2010 8:00 pm

Hi all,

I am going to attempt to bake cupcakes for my DS's birthday

Can anyone please advise me as to where can I purchase edible decorations, stencil, toppers or cupcake rings?

I am looking at a specific theme which is construction so some examples of the edible decorations or stencil should be tools like hammer, spanner etc ...

I tried calling B.I.Y at Bukit Timah but they don't have. I know there is one other place at Holland Village but I cannot recall the name.

I will also try Phoon Huat - anyone knows which location has the most variety??

Your help will be appreciated :D

It's Chip Bee Gardens, can't remember the shop name. Is on the same row of shophouses with a cooking school and some restaurants.

Hi, I think the shop you are referring to is called Pantry Magic?

Lovely stuff they have but you might want to ring them to check if they carry such specific decor stuff?

Yes, Pantry Magic is the name of the bakeware store in Holland Village.

Other bakeware shops that I know of are Sun Lik at Seah Street, Gim Hin Lee at Haig Road and Ailin in Tanjong Katong Complex and Lee Bee in Jurong West.

Sun Lik - 6338 0980
Gim Hin Lee - 6742 8388
Ailin - 6743 2693
Lee Bee - 6665 5972

As for Phoon Huat, I like to shop at their HQ at Sims Drive or Sims Avenue, not sure which is which, I only know how to go there  , all I know is that it is underneath the MRT tracks opposite the Aljunied Station.
