Recommendation for Tiramisu

Postby BigDevil » Wed Nov 10, 2010 9:31 am

It will be Mrs BigD's birthday soon. She never had tiramisu before, so looking to get one for her. But since it's just a small celebration in the family, prefer to get slices instead of a whole cake.

So where do you get your favourite tiramisu??

BigD,

Happy advance Birthday to Mrs BigD :celebrate:

Tiramisu is traditionally a dessert but in Asia, most like to make it into a cake. It's lovely either way. But I prefer panna cotta :D

We like the tiramisu at iL Piccolo (970A Toa Payoh North).
It's next to SPH and house in the same kopitiam as Botak/Brewski Jones.
Their pizzas are yummy too.
Their desserts come in individual serving cups.
I'm not sure if they can/will make a bigger serving bowl for you?
They have delivery services, you can call to inquire.

Telephone +65 62598897

Opening Hours:
Mon to Sat: 11.00am - 2.30pm
Mon to Sun: 6.00pm - 10.00pm

I love the tiramisu from Emicake...it's so delicious and sinful.

BigD, don't just get a slice. Get a cake, and share the rest with us.

Thank you, duriz! Such good service from you...got operating hours and phone number too.

And TPY is certainly very accessible from my place!

I looked at their website...they don't seem to offer them in slices?

Sure! I will share with all of you....a picture of it!!

Mrs BigD is not a coffee drinker, so I'm not sure whether she and the kids will like the taste of tiramisu. So it's safer to just get slices.

Durian?

Err...no thanks. Want to give DW a taste of authentic (or as close to it as possible) tiramisu. Don't think Durian was in the original recipe!

BigD, can post picture here and feedback after you try it, regardless where you buy it from eventually? My husband's birthday is coming soon. So, would like to get something for him, too. However, I will be buying the whole cake.
