just bought some chrysanthemum buds from 福华, not required to boil type, was told just 'soak' in boiling water will do type..

any idea, how long should we soak them in hot water before disposing the buds?? is there such a thing like 'over-soaking'??

cuz i read somewhere tea should not be soaked for more than half an hour..

Mummy hapydino,

I usually bring the pot to a boil.

Drop the chrysanthemum buds in.

Add the 冰糖.

Stir a little.

Put the lid on.

In about 30 mins, I strain the pot, throw away the buds, pour the yummy chrysanthemum into a mug to enjoy.

The remaining is left to cool and then put into the fridge for a chill treat.

But the chill liquid don't usually last more than 3-4 days as we don't add preservatives. They taste and smell a little wonky after that.

Orh, you're enjoying chrysanthemum drink in office ah?

Your method can lah.

Methinks buds won't take offence, at her advanced pregnancy stage, a good soaking (even in chrysanthemum buds) sounds like a real treat :D

Of course i won't take offence. In fact; a hot soak sounds soooo gooood
right now. Heading to the club soon for a soak. But cold water... & some
jacuzzi pampering. :please:
