Easy to prepare:

- Buy bottled spaghetti sauce
- Lightly fry chopped large onions, minced meat (you can use any meat you like), chopped vegetables (carrots, celery, etc)
- Add in the spaghetti sauce. Do not dilute unless you bought concentrated sauce. Let it simmer until vegetables are soft.
- In an aluminium/glass tray (must be suitabe for baking), spread a thin layer of your sauce at the bottom, place a lasagna sheet, spread another layer, place a lasagna sheet, and carry on until you filled the tray. The top layer should be SAUCE. Sprinkle with cheese (I normally use a mixture of parmesan & mozarella but it's up to you).
- Bake in the oven until cheese turns light brown.

There's another version using white sauce instead of the tomato sauce that you can get easily from supermarkets. :)

My method of layering the lasagna is the same as mrswongtuition but my totmato sauce is the lazy method.

I use 1 tin of Campbell's tomato soup.
Empty out the content into a pot.
using the empty tin, fill half with water and mix it with the soup base.
Chop up garlic (as much as u like, i usually add 2 entire cloves) and throw it into the soup.
Dice sausages, and capsicum, throw into the soup base.
Bring to bowl over slow fire, stirring occassionally.
When boiling, throw in the mince meat (i usu use beef).
Don't stir (else the beef won't be chunky anymore).
Once cooked, sprinkle some Oregano (skip if you don't have).

Start layering process.
In addition to the top layer of cheese, I usually have a layer of cheese in the centre as well cos my kids love it.

Hope this works for u! Good luck!

Yup, buy lots of shredded mozzarella cheese. I put a layer of that in between the other layers, and a generous topping on top. Gooey and yummy!

Sometimes I do the Bechamel sauce (cheese white sauce) but since you said you wanted the simple version, just add cheese.

Lasagna goes very nicely with the Bechamel sauce but that's very fattening too. I wd spread mozzarella cheese in between the layers.

My style of cooking is similar to cody's except that I wd use bacon (instead of sausages), Heinz Capsicum, Tomato & Herb soup (it has a lovely roasted capsicum and herb flavour) and include chopped basil in the lasagna as well.

This is a recipe that I saw on the Chef At Home series recently.

Its called speedy lasagna.

I haven't tried it yet, but its on my to-do menu list.

It requires the use of 3 different types of cheese ... , an indulgence. But the end result of the dish was really to die for (on TV lah) :D

I find it so sweet that a Daddy who knows nothing about cooking will go through the trouble to find out how to cook a dish and actually cook it with his kid

So nice!
