My advice is "don't waste your money". Had a panasonic one which claimed that could steam paus and siew mais just like our conventional steamer, but when actually used, the paus/siew mais turned out hard like stone. Yes, followed all instructions, added water to the compartment etc.Mrs Ang wrote:Hi, I'm thinking of getting a steam oven. Has anyone used it before? Pls share. Thanks.
My experience was very different from 25hourmaid's.Mrs Ang wrote:Hi, I'm thinking of getting a steam oven. Has anyone used it before? Pls share. Thanks.
Yeah, that could be it.25hourmaid wrote:Maybe mine was the very first of such a model and perhaps things are a bit different now and then. Mine was as far back as 2004.
I think we have solved the mystery!cody wrote:Yeah, that could be it.25hourmaid wrote:Maybe mine was the very first of such a model and perhaps things are a bit different now and then. Mine was as far back as 2004.
I used my sis' recently during CNY.
She bought the steam oven when she shifted into that house about 1 year ago.
It's a Miele, build-in type.25hourmaid wrote:If I am not wrong, there's only one model in the market now. Sharp, right?
Haha I have been feeding my DH with steamed food and oven baked fish so is thinking of getting a steam oven which I heard can do a better job. Also with my DD growing up, I need to cook dinner more often.cody wrote:If i had the space, i'd definintely get a steam oven too!
