My little girl loves laksa. I want to hunt down the best Laksa in town. Anyone knows or able to recommend?

Hi, there are 2 types of laksa - one is the "Singapore Laksa" (those you usually find in hawker centres, coffee shops, ... etc), another is the "Penang Laksa".

Which type does your little girl like?

I think there are a few famous laksa stores at Katong, you could google "Katong Laksa" to find out more, including food reviews.

there is a laksa chain store in some food courts here. if i rmb correctly its called laksania or someth lidat. it has several type of laksa to choose from.

Penang Laksa - try the one next to Aljunied MRT (it's kinda near the 7/11, toto station). I think it's called Penang assam laksa...they have zichar that's also nice.

SG laksa - there are different variants. I like Sungei Road Laksa - near to Jalan Besar. But this version has no 'tau pok'.

I got address from web as Blk 31 Kelantan Lane, #01-12 Seng Chuan Eating House. But it looks a bit wrong. It should be block 27 becos the original one moved out of Blk 31 and I think a new guy took over and also started selling Sungei road version laksa. recognise the old man preparing the food and his daughters preparing the ingredients.

Or you can buy the premixed packet of Laksa Johor from Sheng Siong supermarket, add coconut ceam, and cook it with spaghetti noodles and other things like chicken breast meat, prawns, fish cake and eat it with the sambal from Glory.

I like Laksa Johor- i find it a blend between Penang laksa and Singapore laksa.
