Hi everyone,

My dd is 1 now and I think she is very bored with the food I give her. Her diet consists of cereals, oats and porridge. When cooking porridge, I will add in different type of veg everyday such as spinach, pumpkin, sweet potato, carrot, potatoes. I use lean pork for the stock. I will also add silver fish, salmon or cod into her porridge. I give her different fruits everyday too. She also take bread, cheese.

What else can I cook for her? I'm running out of ideas here haha.

At 1 year old, your child should be able to eat table food.

I realised you have not introduced rice to her yet. This is the best time to let your bb learn how to chew. If she misses this chewing window, she will have prob chewing her food as she grows older.

You can try pasta of different shapes, rice baked with a cream cheese sauce (if she can take dairy and reduce the salt content, cool before giving it to her), vegetables steamed and then quickly stir fried with garlic. Mashed potatoes, or well baked potato wedges. Mini French toasts. Pancakes. Etc

Oh no!!! I've caused her to miss out on a lot of food. I better start to try new cooking styles.
