Where to buy salmon, cheap and good?

Hi,

where can I buy cheap salmon, the other day I went to cold storage and saw their
salmon fillet was $15 and my hubby ate the whole thing as it is not that big. Are there cheaper alternatives?

You can get much larger cuts for a fraction of the cost. If you become a regular customer of a particular fish-seller, he might even give you special discounts in the future.

For salmon, I think supermarket such as FP or SS has a better price compare to wet market. it range $25-29 per kg

Try Giant Hypermart. Go in the morning when they just freshly cut up the fillet to sell.

If have promo, you can even get fillet at <$21 per kg (can be from $15.90 - $19.90 per kg). Even cheaper if you get the whole fish about 2+ to 3+kg for smaller ones (can be $10.90 - $12.90 per kg), and they can cut up for you. Can use fish head for soup and rest of fish cut in fillet / slices up to you.

I buy from Tiong Bahru market, a big piece for $10. I don't know the weight but usually it serves 3 adults as part of a typical chinese dinner in my family, ie served with rice and another dish. It comes wrapped up and is very clean too.
