Which brand of rice do you buy? I've just tried the Fairprice Thai fragrant rice, and don't like it - too grainy and not particularly ragrant. I would like something a bit more fluffy. Any recommendations?

Not sold at NTUC? I want to order for home delivery as I have no car.

i find royal umbrella and songhe fluffiness is on par. price is similar too. ntuc gold is not too bad too. but for a few dollars difference, i usually opt for the former.

Thanks! Will try them out. It's a slow process though as most brands don't have small bags - 5kg is a lot of meals!

I used NTUC Gold.

MIL used some other brand but my younger boy complained her rice not nice.

So I bou a pack for her to use. But still turned out not nice. Reason - the domestic helper washes the rice too much, all the fragrance washed out n the rice grain breaks easily.

Now that the helper knows how to wash, the rice turns out good.

For 5kg, I would suggest you store them in a few containers with cap that can be screwed tightly. Keeps longer.
