Anyone here knows how to cook the bkt?

We've been relying on those packet herbs available from the supermarket and simply throw in the ingredients. Simple but I doubt it's healthy. Must be laden with msg.

mathspark, there are some of these herbal packages that are MSG free-think there's an A1 brand or something which is quite good.

Used them when we were overseas. Add garlic cloves (skin still attached) and bak kut that has been flash broiled (i.e., briskly boiling water, add ribs to it, then, remove before adding to the boiling soup) to remove the brown bubbles. If you take liver, you may want to put slices at the bottom of the bowl, then pour the soup and ribs over.

Lovely with toasted you tiao!

Hi Mathsparks

You can go to the traditional medical hall and asked them to pack for you.

BAKUTEH can be heaty esp tang gui...So, do take herbal drinks before or after that...

My girl was nuts about it last month...

Cheers
