Why Toman fish slice turned greenish when cooked?

Why Toman fish slice turned greenish (reflective) when cooked ? :scared:

I bought some Toman fish slice from NTUC yesterday. Cooked with porridge just now.


Is this contamination or a different Toman species? :nailbite:

I have bought Toman fish slice before (a couple of times) but don't remember them changing to reflective greenish colour after cooked.

That green glow is unnerving. Is the fish from fukushima? :siam:

Bought from NTUC. No idea where they import it from :nailbite:

Haha, but it won't allay sleepy's fears... :lol:

But I did come across this kind of iridescent appearance on fish slices before...

Could it be mercury?! :yikes:

The Cantonese would say that the fish probably saw something that scared it out of its wits that made it to...

if you feel uncomfortable with greenish toman fish slice, please dump them.

I have seen such greenish tint in food (braised duck) but not on seafood.
