looks like diabetic can only eat home cooked meals or visits vegetarian restaraunts

Do not despair!
Make,healthier choices or ask for sauces to b served separately when eating out. Opt for unsweetened beverage and avoid those,sugar free stuff that real sugar is,replaced by synthetic chemicals.
Try to balance e food w e diabetic med to avoid blood sugar spikes or it being too low level.
