Where is a good place to check out the different brands of hobs and hoods for comparison?

What is your budget?
What is your cooking style?

I shopped at 新祥骏, Hoe Kee before making my decision.

Did not go to the high end places like The Kitchen Culture, Miele etc.

There is a shop @ Centrepoint, not sure which level that carries household cooking hob n hoods. Only remember the shopfront is near the escalator.

Harvey Norman @ The Millenia Walk has a good selection.

My first hob was Foster. Now using Tecno. Won't recommend Tecno, the metal grill not balanced, the oil in the pan always pool at one side.

Foster old style out of commission. The ones at Kitchen Culture seems more suited for Western cooking.

Hmmm... I m more inclined towards Elba. My current place uses Tecno but I don't like it coz its very high n like what u said the oil pools to one side. Anyone has other recommendation?

Fujioh

Metallic filter condenses the oil and collected in a small container just take out and pour away

Metallic filter can wash as often as you like and won't spoil. No replacement parts needed

Strong suction fan, suitable for Chinese, Indian cooking
