Tried these. Well, not too bad, but there are better ones I can tell u.

Dunno why these are in the M list in the first place.

Exactly what I feel.
Hard to imagine they went to every hawker stall in Singapore.
So how did they arrive at this list?

Based on the map, it seems that the team only focused on the central area.

Only 1 - the Meiling St one (no. 12 in the hawker stall list). It's good tasting, but the portions are getting tinier. Even I, a small eater, find the portions small! And they are closed several days a week, and when open, either the queue is long (slow service - just 1 old man and his daughter) or they are sold out!

My guess is that the M assessors used some pre-selected list provided by someone, and maybe just concentrated on the places not too far from town?

dun have iconic ones like char kuey tiao, char kueh , kuey chap, fried hokk mee ,prawn noodles, bak chor mee, crab bee hoon , bbq chicky wings /stingray

Sorry I tried Ka Soh (Swee Kee) at Telok Ayer, not College Rd.

Are they the same?

tried Chey Sua Carrot Cake...not bad, crispy but a little too oily.
as for the rest of the names on the list, I can don't find them very fantastic.

then I give my version of 'M' list: :rotflmao:
char kuay teow - Hong Lim hawker centre and Ghim Moh.
fried hokkien mee - toa payoh lor 8...think it's called serangoon hokkien mee
crab bee hoon - along outram road.
chicken rice - coffee shop at toa payoh lor 1 blk 168
braised duck rice - ghim moh hawker centre (facing the posb atm).

They should be mostly ang mohs? Don't think they will dare try our famous fish head curry or kway chap :evil:
I hope my fav stalls will not ever get picked!
