where to get jap rice in western spore?

hi all,

may i know where can i get jap rice (for sushi making) in western part of spore? does tat place oso sell the tools for making the rolls? many tx.

If I am not wrong, any NTUC and Cold Storage sell the rice for sushi. I bought mine from NTUC and got the vinegar from there too. Have also bought it from Cold Storage before.

Bought the sushi mat from Daiso, I think if I don't recall wrongly, but I do know that Daiso has lots of stuff for making sushi.

the ntuc near my place got a small section where they display some jap products but don have the rice... the rice section only got the normal rice.. i haven really check out cold storage.. i tink mayb those bigger ntuc might have..

Yes, I think only the bigger ones carry the rice. Bought mine from NTUC at AMK Hub. If they do carry, it should be with all those Jap stuff, not the normal rice section.

Yes, agree ...

I saw the jap rice pkt at NTUC Serangoon Gardens and it is one of the smaller outlets.

All Ntuc sell the calrose rice

i saw tis japonica rice (if i rem the spelling correctly), is it the same as the calrose rice?

Calrose is one form of japonica rice, medium quality.

i saw this packet 'seasoning??' that can be mixed with cooked rice to 'make sushi rice'. is it the same? how's the taste??

We buy either of this for jap rice or making sushi.

To make sushi, 2 cups of rice, use 2 spoons (porcelain spoons) of mitsukan vinegar.
