I tried both Songhe and Royal Umbrella. Now using New Moon. Among these three brands, I like New Moon the best. Fluffy and the texture is just right for our family.

I'm not a rice person but DH likes Songhe so for the family it's Songhe. If no Songhe then Royal Umbrella.

My family's eating Songhe and Royal Umbrella. We have tried New Moon and it's not bad too. We usually mix some brown rice with the white rice.

With my elder boy in boarding school, we could not finish the small pkt of New Moon before the bugs appeared. So I switched to NTUC 1 kg hse brand which is just as good as New Moon.

Now for health reason, we are into Eagle brand mixed brown rice which comes in 2kg pkt.

New Moon, I realise, have bugs coming really quickly... I switch between Royal Umbrella and Songhe. I also mix with organic brown rice, sometimes Elephant brand sometimes Naturel.

Songhe for our family. Royal Umbrella is also good but we mostly buy Songhe. We mixed white and brown rice from this brand as well.

For years my mother uses those provision shop mixed rice and I hate eating rice growing up! Never knew brand makes such a big difference and there are different types of rice until I met my hubby's family and then tasted such nice tasting rice! By then already lost at least 30 years already... :P

So now, Songhe all the way!

I like Australian Calrose rice... if not, I buy the NTUC Gold Thai hom mali - 1 rinse only. Sometimes my mom buys basmati rice to mix in.
