Nanyang Primary

There's nothing quite like being able to discuss issues and network with other parents with children in the same school as yours. Individual Schools' Official Parent Support Groups are welcome to come in and help out the incoming groups of parents.

Hi. I'm new to this whole primary school admissions. Would like some clarity please!

My husband is NYPS alumni. I'm not.
We're moving to a unit within 1km of NYPS and living there for the next 5 to 8 years.

I'm wondering what phase I should be applying under and what are my chances of getting my boy into NYPS?
If one of the parents is alumni, the child should get in at Phase 2A. If you are within 1km, then you should be quite safe, as last year, the balloting was for those outside of 2km.

Some classes at Nanyang Primary School will be put on home-based learning for the next two days after several cases of fever, cough and sore throat were detected over the past four days.

Pupils were also strongly encouraged to wear masks in school this week as a precautionary measure, principal Wong Li Peng told The Straits Times on Monday.

So far, none of the cases have been related to Covid-19, she said, adding that the school had since stopped physical morning assemblies and reduced group activities.

Hi All,
I am thinking of engaging the NYPS bus service for my child from next month onwards as my husband is unable to send him to school anymore. But I heard some very bad reviews regarding the bus operator and how they treat the children from my friend so I am having my reservations.I will like to get views from different sources to confirm whether her comments are true. Can anyone who use the bus service in the West area provide feedback here?
