Hong Wen

There's nothing quite like being able to discuss issues and network with other parents with children in the same school as yours. Individual Schools' Official Parent Support Groups are welcome to come in and help out the incoming groups of parents.

Hihi all parents who are interested in HWS in the year 2021,

Greetings, I am a parent of my DD who is in HW from year 2015 and she just graduated. Let me address a few things:

1) The school culture

HWS has recently held its centennial celebration and it has a rich culture of 100 years. HW has been upholding the school chinese culture and providing the students there with bicultural programes, since P1 e.g. Chinese calligraphy
and the school also focuses on this 3 chinese phrase: 孝顺,好学,守礼. HWS inculcates this values from P1 to P6 which allows students to become fine adults and leaders of tomorrow. HW is also a SAP school and all students will have to

2) The school environment

HWS has teachers and staff that are very friendly and welcoming. They oftenly look out for weaker students and help them in whatever ways they can be it stay backs to help students with their studies. HW also has morning talks with their form and co-form teachers, allowing the teachers to know more about their students. HW teachers are also well-trained to handle pupils with bad behaviour, culturing them to be a better student, so not to worry. Regarding bullies, HWS actually has really little bullies. Based on what my DD told me over the past 6 years, I find that HW is actually handled really well in terms of behaviour and chinese culture so do not worry as the teachers will handle them. HW is a condusive environment for most of the pupils there. Whenever they see a school staff no matter in public or in school, they greet with a bow.

I hope and wish your child the best in the Primary School Intake Exercise! :))

Cheers! :)

Well said.

My dd would also be graduating from HWS this year. She had grown and progress well thru'out her "sprouting" 6 years in the school. I have minimum or nil grouses during her primary school years.

Cheers.

Hi any info sharing about PV experience with Hongwen. Is it competitive to be PV?
The PV application period is very long, and result will be out quite late. I afraid we may fail it and miss the PV application of other schools.

Thanks.

I called this no before. Reply was they stopped at Bendemeer pri which is far from my block; like half the distance from my block to hong wen.

That’s why I am looking for private school bus service instead of this school’s contact.

Thanks once again.

Yup! same as I called them last time. We also stayed far from Bendemeer pri.
We have no choice, so asked my boy take the public transport go back home if some day have CCA or stayed back.
