Balestier Hill Primary

There's nothing quite like being able to discuss issues and network with other parents with children in the same school as yours. Individual Schools' Official Parent Support Groups are welcome to come in and help out the incoming groups of parents.

Parent of P5 & P2 in 2010 with 1 more going to P1 in 201

Postby acehkr3009 » Fri Sep 03, 2010 2:34 pm

Hi all,

I have 2 kids already in Balestier Hill Pri Sch, P2 & P5.

My youngest girl is already looking forward to join their brothers next year.

Great place to learn with lots of other natioinalities fr USA, Europe, Brazil, Japan, Korea, India, China, etc. Almost an international sch. Very often, P2 son always look forward to school the next day. He has lots of friends and often share home foods during break time.

Teachers are also very helpful and really go that extra mile.

My P5 son is struggling with mother tongue in current class, which I suggested for switching to foundation. After speaking to mother tongue teacher, they suggested putting him another class (other nationality) with another teacher who specilizes in interesting him on mother tongue. Now my son no longer deter Chinese class, and is also helping other classmates during group quizes. Just spoken to his chinese teacher recently on my son interest, and she will try to interest him further based on his interest.

I am glade my children are enjoying school, aside from their academic progress.

Hi

Are there parents of kids studying at BHPS here? Would like to hear more about your experiences in this school. I noticed the low popularity of this sch during the on-going P1 registration and I wonder why. Is the location or the teachers? The school has not posted its academic performance on its website.

Thanks!

Dear BHPS parents,

Anyone care to share more about BHPS? I'm currently living in the Novena area and I would like to register my dd to this school.

Thanks!

low popularity because there are no many "new" young parents staying ard there. :dancing:

low popularity does not means no good. :imcool:

BHPS has made a major renovation back few years back. Newer Environment.

Hi,

I'm living in Toa Payoh, thinking of registering my daughter in this school for 2014 P1. Wondering why this school has no posting about the children. I assume it's not Singapore favorite school. Does it mean foreigner like my daughter have more chance in Phase 3? How does it like for foreign kid if she doesn't have much Chinese?

Thanks,

Melissaryan

Will appreciate much if the existing parents in the school could give some feedback. Just got booted out in the 2C balloting and only left with a few choices for 2CS, however I'm not familiar with the system of this school.

Please enlighten.
