Tanjong Katong Girls' School

Having survived PSLE. we still need to network with other parents with kids in the same Secondary school. While giving our teenagers their own space, we can update each other about the school.

Cut -off for 2009 for 'Girls Only' School is here. Both TKGS & Crescent are very good choice for student at first 10-15 % of PSLE cohort.

Will tkgs be shifting to any location near Kallang at a holding site in the near future?

I have called the school recently and was told they have no plans for shifting or major renovation.

I did speak to my girl's form teacher end Oct 2010 and she also said there were no plans. I think the Kallang holding site (where Cedar was also held temporarily) is being taken by another school, so if they move, probably it will be another location. Hopefully it will be nearer to the eastern side, like the one at Bedok. (ex- Temasek Sec Sch site, and Tampines Sec sch was also held temporarily)

My younger gal is also in Sec 1. I think the Girl Guides have more camping and outdoorsy type of activities. Whereas the Interact club deal more with community events and activities eg giving tuition (plus point is they get lots of CIP hrs)

So it depends on the girl. For some reason my girl is not interestd in Interact club, AND she is the more active type, so girl guides wd probably be one of her choices.
