Chung Cheng High (Yishun)

Having survived PSLE. we still need to network with other parents with kids in the same Secondary school. While giving our teenagers their own space, we can update each other about the school.

CCHY is not a SAP school. Hence, HCL is not compulsory.

my daughter is in Sec 3 express and going to Sec 4 next year, according to DD she said the new p is very strict and have lots of common test from this year onwards. The school even rranged for all the students to come back for Extended Curriculum Programme during the first two weeks of year end school holidays.

My husband intend to let our DS to opt for CCHY as 1st choice, but he is a very English speaking boy... Chinese always almost fail.....
Any advise is it suitable for kids with mild ADHD and speak mainly English to attend this school?

CCHY is not a SAP school, so it is just like any other non-SAP schools.

sorry for late reply...
all S3 student need to do at least one pure science, only those who scored more than 75% in S2 Science can apply for triple pure sciences. the rest either do double pure science or one pure science plus combine science.
As long as you passed S2 mathematics, you can select Additional Maths. but CCHY dont offer principle of Accounting, D&T, Art for express student.
As for the % of JC/Poly, no officials figure given, but my DD said a lot of seniors went to NYJC, probably due to affiliation.

Not sure how many is "a lot" but only 10% of NYJC's yearly student intake comes from its affiliated schools, ie, both CCHMS and CCHYS. Information obtained from NYJC.

Hi, I read that Chung Cheng High Yishun is 1 of the pioneering schools to offer an OLevel Computing subject in 2017 to their Sec 3 students. I have as well referred to MOE's syllabus for this subject, & found that the course is composed of 4 modules (Data & information; Systems & comms; Abstraction & algorithms; Programming). Hence, I was wondering if parents or students could advise me, does it mean that those 4 modules are covered 1 after another (no overlaps) over the span of 2 years (ie. Sec 3 & 4)? &, is Python taught concurrently alongside the various modules as an application of the taught theories? Thank you!
