Crescent Girls' School

Having survived PSLE. we still need to network with other parents with kids in the same Secondary school. While giving our teenagers their own space, we can update each other about the school.

I don't believe in going open house because everyone will be on their best behaviour. Better to talk to other parents to gain more insight. A very good school if your child is the motivated kind because they will push to achieve all O level to qualify for junior college. A friend's daughter who is there at around low PSLE 240 is feeling "the heat" at Sec 2...mom afraid she gets burnt out..

CRESCENT GIRLS' and NAN HUA HIGH SCHOOL ;-9

  • Quote

Post by HELPLESSmother » Thu Dec 31, 2009 5:20 pm

HI to all kiasu parents, my elder child is in a Dilemma whether to choose CRESCENT GIRLS' or NAN HUA HIGH SCHOOL as she is given the opportunity to choose either of these schools. However,in order for my DD to enter Crescent, we have to take up uniform group as one of the CCA. :( [heard that uniform groups are very tiring].Hence,We would really appreciate it if any parent has children in either of these schools and is willing to call us to clear our doubts via 96271176. Thank you very much! :D

Crescent seems to be good experiecne so far. They have tablet PC programs/ e-books , so if your child is compter savvy, IT career is definitly on Cards. There will be breifing this Saturday !

My DD is anyway opting for 'Uniform Groups' as it help in deducting 2 points . She doesn't have HMT , so must collect 2 deduction point to enter good JC.

Thank you, Dad of girl. :) Good luck to your girl too.... .... (hope she can get the deduction)

Ya, my girl is in Crescent and she seems to like the environment there too. Part of the credit also goes to those kiasu parents who had voted for Crescent. 8) My DD is also interested in Uniform Group. :) Your DD should be in sec. one too, since you mentioned that there would a breifing this Saturday. May I know what class is your DD is in???
:? My DD is in class 1C1.

When I read this topic, immediately I come up with this equation
NanHua = SAP, mixed
Crescent = Non Sap, Girls

For me to choose, I would go for SAP vs Girls school. Because I am quite straight forward in my criteria, I want my child to be in a strong chinese culture school. :D

Therefore, NanHua ! :D
