Nanyang Girls' High School [*IP]

Having survived PSLE. we still need to network with other parents with kids in the same Secondary school. While giving our teenagers their own space, we can update each other about the school.

Hi
Can I check, if a child cannot cope with hcl at NYGH, and wishes to switch to normal Chinese class at end of Sec 1 or Sec 2, is there any such option available? Or the child will be immediately posted to the O level class once she chose such an option?

Any existing parents can share? Thank you very much.

:skeptical: There are many prob in the sch under current principal, vigorous arguments against the principal's decision making during this year Sec 3 PTM is clear & she had to defend. As a results the school tries to put in effort to address to the Sec 3 concerns.

During PTM, almost all other parents clapped to support parents who openly criticize her poor decisions making, she could not defend other than saying to discuss separately. Now the school has to engage Sec 3 through dialogues to do damage control. She should learn from previous P Mdm Heng on how to lead NYGH. The Sec 3 are upset.
It's not correct for parents continue to pay same amount of school fee when the school management are doing a lot of cost cutting measures that affect students.

Can you share examples of her poor decision making and cost cutting measures? Would be useful info for parents who are considering to send their DD to this school. Thank you.

DD is in Chinese Orchestra - Has enjoyed her 4 months there. Feel free to ask what you wish to know. The girls worked very hard and NYGH achieved distinction in 2019 SYF competition.
