I would like to know how to answer questions during DSA interviews..
The last time i went for an interview by a school was after PSLE-posting.
I tried to appeal to another secondary school and was invited for an interview.
However, I didnt do too well for the interview.
They asked questions like "Why do you want to come to this school?"
"How do you think you will benefit from this school?" "How can you use your great results in mathematics to help others?"
I didnt know how to answer those questions...

Now, im planning to dsa for a few jcs like AJC, ACJC and i need some help and advice on how to answer the questions during the interviews.

Is it advisable to answer "Why do you want to come to this school?" by saying because its near, convenient and produces great results?

And if they ask how will i benefit, what are some answers i can give them?
I think i will graduate from the school with good results?

Please help and guide me to think of what kind of reasons i should give. Like whether i should say what results and awards the school has achieved etc....

Oh and, do leave some tips on how to prepare for those interviews.
Your reply will be greatly appreciated!

Both your target jcs are at far apart from each other, do make sure convenience is not an issue. You have taken the initiative and that is good. They are both equally good and if i am a prospective student, i will strictly go by distance.

OK, let uncle here advises you. For ACJC, you must first determine what contribution you can provide ie sports or performing arts. Next regarding the benefits you can derive, this jc is relatively strong in GP and has a good humanities programme too. Its A-level results have been on the uptrend these few years.

Regarding AJC, also figure out your contribution in the areas of sports or arts. They are pretty strong in maths and all sciences and also have a decent humanities prog.

Hope the above info can help you and with best wishes.
