True, statistics is mathematical while banking is not. Finance is partially mathematical but its maths part is easy.

Accounting, statistic, banking and finance are all very different subjects. Statistic is mathematical. Banking can be an economics subject, or it can be broader. Finance is a very broad area and can involve very complex maths. Accounting as a major can also be quite broad. I don't know much about ite, but my guess is for them, accounting should just be book-keeping and statistic should be quite simple - just the basic concepts, but no lab or modelling involved.

Stats is like pure math. More difficult as is more 'dry' compared with banking & finance. Stats people usually go into insurance if not teaching or national statistics dept

Banking involves law, organisation bahaviour, general management, accounting & financial analysis

Finance involves accounting, costing, analysis, game theory, options and derivative pricing, cost of capital, beta derivation, etc.

And accounting also involves audit assurance, ethics, performance measurement, cash / treasury management etc

Yes, statistics is a subject with higher "casualty rate" compared to other subjects. I did statistics as a minor subject in NUS years ago.

Yes, and finance does involve a fair bit of statistics like derivative pricing, or calculating beta and volatility. All the subjects are different but related.
