[After O levels] JC or Poly

Postby littledo11 » Sun Jan 08, 2012 11:24 am

I'm expecting my results to be either 8-10 points, hopefully will not exceed 10. And after subtracting 4 points from my CCA+HCL, I'll probably get 4-6 points(?) which would be enough for me to get into a JC.

Can somebody advise me on the matters below, tyvm
If I'm going to a poly:
-I'll take a business course, possibly Accountancy/Banking+Finance/Business Studies (undecided)
-thinking of going to Ngee Ann Poly, is it the best poly to study business?

If I go to a JC:
-either TJ/VJ

Also, will it be difficult for me to enter University if I'm planning to go to Poly?

My final goal is university.

IMPT: Can someone tell me the purpose of Business Studies? Since the course requires you to specialise in a certain module(e.g. Finance), I don't understand why not just take the course(e.g. Banking and Finance) directly?

4-6 probably u wont be able to get into VJ, but TJ should not be a problem.

I strongly advise you not to choose the poly route, you only have a 5%-10% chance to get into a local U from poly(with a minimum GPA of 3.5/4 to 3.8+/4 depending on the course). As for JC, the 2010 data showed 81.2% of the JC graduates qualified, and for TJC, I suppose the probability should be around 90-95% at least, so why do you want to risk?
